We’re super excited to announce that we're back back back again for our annual Pride social! We’re so lucky to be teaming up with Rise for a third year to run an amazing event for y'all. We hope you can join us for a wicked night celebrating our beautiful community.

This event is run by and for Trans, Non-Binary, Queer and LGBTQIA+ folk. No racism (including anti-semitism, Islamophobia, and xenophobia), transphobia, homophobia, ableism, or any other form of hate or prejudice will be tolerated at this event.

Tickets

Standard - £16, Concession - £12

Free shoe hire (normally £3.5)

This year we are supporting the Good Law Project again, with £1 from every ticket being donated to their work supporting trans rights. GLP are currently working to appeal the High Court’s latest judgment on trans rights. Workshop Spaces

Once you have your event ticket it’s free to sign onto one of our workshops - spaces are limited so make sure you book before they're all gone!

Workshops as follows:

  • Intro to Bouldering (V0) - run by a Rise Climbing instructor, this session is perfect for completely new and beginner climbers who are climbing V0 / V1 grades

  • Bouldering Basics (V1-2) - run by a Rise Climbing instructor, this session is great for climbers looking to work on fundamental climbing techniques at the V1 / V2 grade range

  • Intro to Board Climbing - join us for a casual board-climbing session where we'll demystify board climbing, learn how to use a board, it's benefit in outdoor climbing, and have plenty of fun!

We recommend attendees are consistently climbing V2 or above.

  • Mobility and Strength with Faye - Faye (Strength and Flow) is back again and will be running two workshops to help with your movement and strength on and off the wall.

This class teaches movement in a way that you likely haven’t covered before - using your own bodyweight to build internal strength. We do this with each joint, exploring the entire anatomical movement that the joint is capable of. My hope is that you’ll build better connection to your body, and understand what areas in your body need more attention. When you know your deficits, you can get ahead of injuries. I’ve been a strength coach for about 10 years, and I only learned this form of movement in the last 6 years, if I had started it earlier I believe it might have helped my climbing journey be smoother from the start.

    Who’s it for?

Any level of climber, anyone who’s keen to prepare their body for long-term climbing.

    What you’ll get:

Learn how to control each joint individually - this will make more complex movements feel easier

    Helps to release neurological tension

Access to videos with a daily mobility routine

Discussion - bring any questions you have around strength or mobility training

    Optional:

If you’d like to get ahead of what we’ll cover in class, send me an email with a request for the videos. It takes some time for things to ‘click’ so don’t worry too much if you don’t fully get it. Do your best to familiarise yourself with the movements, so that you have a better understanding by the time we do the workshop.
